AHIMSA

This post is from October 15, 2023 - a time of deep sorrow and heightened tensions as Israel and Palestine continue to be embroiled in a devastating and complex conflict that has shaken the entire region to its core. The ongoing strife between these two nations has caused immense heartache, with innocent lives being lost and communities torn apart. This deep-seated sorrow permeates the air, casting a heavy pall over the hopes for peace and stability in the region. As the world watches with a heavy heart, the urgent need for understanding and empathy becomes ever more apparent. It is a time when collective efforts towards peace and justice are crucial, and amidst the chaos, unity and compassion must prevail for the sake of a brighter future for all.

Hello, Dear Yogis!

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for being here with us on the mat today. Our practice has been a beautiful reminder of our commitment to ahimsa, the principle of nonviolence. As we gracefully flowed through the bustling breast cancer walk, it gently reinforced the idea that even in the midst of life's turbulence, we should create a personal sanctuary to shield ourselves from the chaos.

Ahimsa traditionally encourages nonviolence toward others, but I encourage you to also offer this compassion to yourself. When you feel the weight of stress bearing down, take a moment to step back and reconnect with your breath. It's essential for your well-being, and the positive energy radiates outward, benefiting everyone around you by preventing your nervous system from going into overdrive. In times of intense conflict and sorrow, let your heart be your guide. Remember, ahimsa begins with self-care. 💚

I'm thrilled to share that today, we raised over $300 for United Hatzalah, and we'll be back on the grass for the next two Sundays to continue our support:

❤️ Sunday, October 22nd: 9am
❤️ Sunday, October 29th: 9am

Your continued support is what keeps this collective thriving. Here's how you can help:

  • Keep showing up. I initiated this yoga collective to bring people together, and I absolutely cherish seeing familiar faces returning.

  • If you can spare a moment to leave me a review, I'd be deeply grateful. Reviews help me connect with like-minded yogis from all corners of the world. LEAVE A REVIEW HERE

  • Share your feedback about our classes, whether it's something you love or think we could improve. Constructive criticism is invaluable, as I'm always looking to enhance your experience. I'm here on the grass for YOU, so if you have words of encouragement or suggestions for improvement, please don't hesitate to let me know! 🙏

With love and consciousness,
